Loved reading this discussion! And Mason's statement nailed it: " I think it is really important that researchers do not solely look at citizen science as a way for people to enter their data for them for free. If you come at it with that approach then your project is doomed to fail. It’s vital to engage with the community that you are working with."

Data verification on CWW has to go on the back burner for a few weeks for me while I prepare a talk for the 100th annual ecological society of america conference next month. Feel free to check out the abstract to our talk if you want! I'll be name dropping CWW during it.
