Does Chicago have an Owl population? Would be a tragedy if there were no more owls:(

There was one an earlier image set: ACH0000e44. Not likely to spot them close to the ground.

Chicago certainly has different species of owl that live throughout the landscape, but our camera traps are not really set for them. As @escholzia has pointed out, sometimes we get them, but its a rarity!

Glad to hear your owl diversity is alive and well:) I live 16,000 km (about 9941,9 miles) away where owls no longer sit on the highest branches of the tree. Their numbers are declining. They have become much bolder in their pursuit of food and now sit on branches closer to the ground and rooftops in residential areas. It is not uncommon to find them swooping down over your head at night as they fly from rooftop to tree and vice versa.
