69% "nothing here"

Most of the images on CWW end up being classified as "nothing here". In a CWW blog post, Mason Fidino discusses why this occurs:
In fact, 69 percent of all photo tags were βnothing.β Generally, this is fairly typical with camera trap data, as things like falling leaves or vegetation blowing in the wind can cause a camera to take a photo. With more than 100 camera traps, falling leaves or swaying branches tend to add up.
Some sharp-eyed watchers manage to spot well-camouflaged birds and lurking coyotes that would be easy to miss, so don't be too quick with the "nothing here". (I've missed at least a few squirrels and the odd rabbit that way....)

If it's any encouragement, there were about 2,348,597 classifications listed as finished on the CWW home page early this morning. Just now when I looked, it showed 2,349,776. Over a thousand classifications so far today! π We are finding some interesting animals, too.

When the project is completed, and some lucky soul has to write the paper, is there a way we can be told where and when it will be published?
