"recent" broken, maybe favorites

The recent object comments section seems to be broken, with lots of repetitions of a single comment. In some cases the image is missing from the comment.
Maybe related, I've noticed that my favorites collection is a mess, with lots of duplicates. Specifically, it seems like many of the recent additions are duplicated.

For some reason, Daniel's comment "Probably #deer..." on 11/3/15 at around 10:44 a.m. "went viral", and is duplicated a bunch of times. I think he might have been "poaching" images, leaving comments on things he found by URL, but not sure what that would have to do with it.
