wild turkeys terrorize New Jersey

Apparently things are getting out of hand in the Garden State. A hapless employee of the United States Postal Service had to call in the cavalry after being outnumbered by a gang of gobblers:

The letter carrier, who was not identified, was inside his truck on Esplanade Drive, surrounded by four or five turkeys, when two officers arrived, according to Capt. Sean Smith of the Police Department. “The first officer attempted to blow the siren and that didn’t work,” he said on Thursday. “Then the other officer got out of his car and ran aggressively toward the turkeys and that did the trick.”

    This is why we watch.

Haha, brilliant 😃 the last paragraph of the article is excellent - I would never have thought that that was the explanation ... but why they particularly go for postal workers is a mystery.... is it the uniform or a complaint against not receiving letters on time? LOL 😃

Gotta watch out for those crazy jakes. And those stroppy fox squirrels.
